Cars.com and The Indianapolis Star – Gotta Have It
Eligibility.Subject to the additional restrictions below, the ’ÄúCars.com and The Indianapolis Star ’Äì Gotta Have It’Äù is open to U.S. residents (excluding Florida, New York and Puerto Rico) who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of The Indianapolis Star, Cars.com, Classified Ventures, LLC, Gannett Co., Inc., Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc., Central Indiana Toyota Dealers Association, the Indianapolis Auto Show, and each of their respective affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win.
How To Enter.The Sweepstakes will begin at 11:01 a.m. (E.S.T.) on Thursday, December 27, 2007 and end at 4 p.m. (E.S.T.) on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 (the ’ÄúSweepstakes Period’Äù). To enter in person, complete an Official Entry Form, available at The Indianapolis Star Pavilion at The 2008 Indianapolis Auto Show located in The Indiana Convention Center during the Sweepstakes Period with your name, address (city, state, zip), age, daytime telephone. These entries must be placed in the Cars.com and The Indianapolis Star ’Äì Gotta Have It Sweepstakes entry boxes located in The Indianapolis Star Pavilion at The 2008 Indianapolis Auto Show by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. In person entries for the Grand Prize as well as the daily prizes will also be accepted in the lobby of the Indianapolis Star, 307 N. Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis, IN 46206 during normal business hours from Thursday, December 27, 2007 through 4:00 PM Monday, December 31, 2007. Mail entries will not be accepted. Maximum one (1) entry per person per day.
Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, or illegible entries. All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes.
Winner Selection.Winners will be selected daily by random drawings among all eligible entries to be held at approximately 5:00 PM at The Indianapolis Star Pavilion at the 2008 Indianapolis Auto Show each day, December 27 through January 1, 2008. Entries not selected in the daily drawings will remain eligible for the Grand Prize drawing. One Grand Prize will be selected by a random drawing from among all eligible entries to be held at approximately 5:00 p.m. at the Indianapolis Star Pavilion at the 2008 Indianapolis Auto Show on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Entrants need not be present to win. Decisions of judges and Sponsor shall be final and binding in all respects.
Prizes and Odds. Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a 2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab SR5 (ARV: $25,000) that will be selected Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Daily Prizes will be as follows: at the discretion of Sponsor (ARV will range between $500 and $4000). Prize details will be available in the final Official Rules. Odds of winning depend upon number of eligible entries received.
Winner Notification and Acceptance.Grand Prize winner will be announced at or about 5:01 p.m. on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the 2008 Indianapolis Auto Show. Daily Prize Winners will be announced at or about 5:01 p.m. each evening Thursday, December 27, 2007 through Monday, December 31, 2007 at the Indianapolis Star Pavilion at the Indianapolis Auto Show. Entrants need not be present to win. Sponsor will also attempt to contact winner during regular business hours at number provided on entry form and will leave no messages. Failure to reach winner by phone may result in disqualification of winner, forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. To claim prize, winner must personally visit Sponsor’Äôs offices at 307 N. Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis, IN 46206 within two (2) business days after notification (Office visits must be between the hours of 9 a.m. (E.S.T.) and 5 p.m. (E.S.T.) weekdays.) and must present a valid photo identification. Winner may waive his or her right to receive the prize. Prize is nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winner is solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winner will be required to complete, sign, notarize and return an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release that he or she has complied with the Official Rules of the Sweepstakes, before the prize will be awarded. Failure to sign and return the affidavit of release, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner’Äôs disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner. Grand Prize winner is responsible for picking up the Grand Prize vehicle at the designated Toyota dealer ’Äì Andy Mohr Toyota, 8941 East Highway 36, Avon, IN 46123, within 48 hours of notification. Winner is responsible for all taxes, title, registration and license fees, or other costs associated with transferring the vehicle, and must show proof of insurance at the time of transfer. Under no circumstances will more than one Grand Prize be awarded in this Sweepstakes. Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner’Äôs consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation the Internet, or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor.Participation.By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
General Release.By entering the Sweepstakes, contestants release The Indianapolis Star, Cars.com, Classified Ventures, LLC, Gannett Co., Inc., Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc., and the Central Indiana Toyota Dealers Association, the Indianapolis Auto Show, Saatchi & Saatchi, and any other promotional sponsors, and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, partners, advertising agencies and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Sweepstakes or with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light).Sponsor..
